ACADEMICS
Curriculum
We provide a "year round" curriculum from infancy to first grade. Learning is blended throughout the day not only in the classroom but on the playground, art, music, nature, and mealtimes. Children are always curious and those are the most opportune times to teach. We provide the below-learning objectives.
Language and Literacy
Understands spoken language; communicates with others; gains meaning from print; develops writing to communicate.
Science
Uses scientific inquiry; understands light, sound, force, movement, and matter; Identifies attributes of living and non-living things; recognizes features of earth and sky.
Creative Arts
Appreciates the visual arts; enjoys music; participates in movement and dance; engages in dramatic play.
Social Studies
Understands time and historical events; appreciates people and the environment; relates culture, family, and community; knows about government, economic systems, and technology.
Mathematics
Understands numbers and quantities; recognizes shapes and spatial relationships; measures and collects data; uses patterns, sorting, classifying, and reasoning.
Physical Education
Shows healthy growth and development; uses gross motor skills; uses fine motor skills; practices safety and self-care.
